Cool huh?

AND, did you notice the photo of him winking?

We celebrated Mother’s Day a couple of days ago and this year, to be honest, it was a little different for me. Kinda felt like I have a kid now. Obviously I’m not talking about a real human kid, but I do consider Spocky human sometimes. And you know why he’s even better than a human kid? He doesn’t whine or cry

I celebrated Mother’s Day with Mum and we spent the day shopping. Dinner was with Dad & kiddo as well and it was a great day. The next day, I celebrated it with Mum’s side of the family and family gatherings are good. We see each other every once in a while, have a feast, everyone is happy – especially Grandma. I mean, what could possibly make her happier than having her kids and grandchildren (great grandchildren as well, if possible) around her under one roof?

Do remember guys, we do not show our appreciation to the women in our lives only on one particular day for the sake of the occasion. Show them love and gratitude on a daily basis, can you imagine life without them?

So anyway, here are some photos of my kid :)

^ Told you he loves to smile!

v His new toy! Come to think of it, it looks pretty scary ey?

^ They share the same pose in this photo

^ Sleeping on my lap during a car ride

v Peekaboo!

He brings such joy and happiness, best kid in the world.

Photo-filled post! Another collection of Spocky photos :)

That’s the latest toy I got him, it’s so adorable! Sometimes I think to myself, this is all I need. I don’t need people, I don’t need the world. He’s all I need; he loves me unconditionally no matter what. And sometimes it does make you wonder, maybe all we really need is just a lot of love and everything else will be okay hmm?

One of his favourite toys :)

Spocky is a really happy kid. He smiles all the time and he’s playful every single minute of the day. The look on his face never fails to plant a smile on mine.  The atmosphere is lit up immediately with his presence regardless the time and place. I especially love how he greets and hops on me every single time he sees me, always the same excitement, always the same kind of love for me.

This is one of his Happy Meals!

The kind of cookies Spocky gets.

He gets extremely excited when he sees someone preparing treats in his bowl. He knows that he’s in for a special meal and he gobbles everything down at that very moment. It’s amazing that the kind of happiness I see in him, sends so much of warmth and joy to myself in the inside. I usually give him a treat like this about once a month, I also try to get the healthier kind of treats/cookies albeit having to pay a little more.

A little furball he is.

He loves to lick me, I have a strong feeling that’s his way of telling me that he loves me. I’m the only person he licks a lot. And although we’ve only been together less than a year, this bond we have – it’s so special. I can’t imagine life without him, the thought of not being able to see/hold him anymore someday hits me like a hurricane. Sometimes I get a little sad thinking about the time when he will have to leave. But I try not to; I try to make the most out of what we have.

That’s one of his favourite toys. He has more than a dozen of toys, yes he is pretty spoiled! He’s particularly adorable when he bites his toy and hops around the house. What’s fascinating is that when he gets a new toy, he immediately knows that it’s something for him and it’s meant to be a toy. How do dogs do that? I think another reason why he is such an active pup is because he has many toys. He’s always playing with one or another. The only time he lies down is when he needs to get some sleep. Keeping your pup active is what keeps them healthy!

I give him some milk/vanilla ice cream at least twice a month. If you can recall, he’s very fussy. When he was little he did not take a single sip of his puppy milk. A friend suggested fresh milk so I decided to try it out. As you can see, he loves it! I only feed him pet food to protect his health, coat, skin and well-being so at times I try to vary his food intake or treats so that he gets some flavours ;)

Isn’t he just the cutest thing ever on Earth!

I just realised that Spocky looks the same in every photo on his park trips because he’s always naked and we always use the same red leash!

Oh we got him a toothbrush and some toothpaste just the other day, obviously for hygiene purposes. Funny thing is, his breath doesn’t stink, at all, from Day One. You think I’d let him lick me all the time if it does? :P I think it has a lot to do with the kind of food you feed your pet/s. And it’s a good thing his teeth grew so well too!

Took Spockster to the park again the other day. I think I’m gonna make it a point to try my best to take him there every week. He gets super happy and excited and there are plenty of friends he can make at the park on weekends. I take videos of him so that in years to come, I have them to reminisce on the good times and look back like a proud parent :D

On this particular park day, Spocky made friends with an Alaskan Malamute 8O If you know how huge they are, you’d be shocked too! Here’s some info on that breed: Source. They look very much like Siberian Huskies, no? At first I thought so too, and of course a little skeptical to allow little Spocky associate with such massive dogs, not to mention strong too.

However they got along so well! Both had fun sniffing each other and their tails were wagging the whole time! Spocky is very friendly in nature, he even makes friends with cats. But cats are not very fond of him, it’s probably in their nature but Spocky doesn’t seem to notice what his nature is supposed to be. He’s just very lovable and approachable.

Based on the info I’ve attached, Alaskan Malamutes have a strong prey instinct and should be supervised when around unfamiliar small animals but it does not mean they are not good with them. I was beyond fascinated myself at how quickly and easily the both of them got along.

In years to come, I have plans to get breeds that are of bigger sizes like a Retriever, and an Alaskan Malamute definitely made it to the list! There should be no problem with having them get accustomed to one another because all it takes is training from a young age. The couple who owns the Alaskan Malamutes (there were two of them, but Spocky only played with one because the other was taken to the field for obedience training) without a doubt did a fantastic job raising and training them.

I also saw a Retriever who decided to go for a swim in the pond and didn’t want to come out of it until about 5 minutes later – which was really cute. She was just very playful and a little naughty. After her owner tempted her with a toy for a little while she decided to come up and then attended the obedience class

I think dogs are one of the top most amazing creatures. They can be so intelligent and loving at the same time, they can really be the source of a person’s happiness every single day without fail. I absolutely love dogs. So if you’re not a dog lover, I like you a lot lesser ;)

Here’s the video I took.

That’s my first video on YouTube!
