Fight Club is insane! To be honest, I thought this movie was pretty lame as I watched but towards the end – it really caught me off-guard. This movie is mind blowing! Great performance by both actors, and it has a very unusual storyline to it. It may have a slow start, but definitely worth your time.

Jerry Maguire. Apart from filling up your time, it also teaches you valuable lessons about life. Tom Cruise did a brilliant job here. Got an 84% from Rotten Tomatoes!

I absolutely loved Heat! The entire time I was watching it, I was thinking to myself how good and outstanding this movie is. Al Pacino is great, although I like Robert de Niro more. Their performances were just top notch. I didn’t quite like the ending though. I thought the other way round would have been better! :D A must-watch!

X-Men was indeed First Class. Superb performance by the cast, it never lacked appeal throughout the entire movie. I really enjoyed X-Men, some say Super 8 is better but I disagree. Super 8 was good, but X-Men was incredible! Ever wondered what it would be like sharing the world with mutants?

Sky High is a really awesome movie! Of course it is nothing like other superheroes movie – but I really enjoyed this one. Simple but intriguing. I find the fire guy really hot! In the movie poster, it’s the guy in black on your right.

Water for Elephants is a wonderful love story. I really liked how the storyline went and how things fell into place in the movie. It’s not your average love story and there is actually a bigger picture behind it all. It shows how life isn’t simple for many people, how things can happen in such a way that you can’t tell if it’s fate. Highly recommended.

Source Code somehow felt a lot like Inception #2. I thought it was brilliant. It’s a little tricky – just like Inception – and it kept you guessing in the end – just like Inception! The movie is a little short though but considering that it was focusing on only one particular scene and place, it went pretty well. Do you think we will be capable of doing so in reality?

Waiting for Forever is a very sweet movie. It’s quite sentimental, it really touched me. It isn’t your cliche everyday love story – it has a touch of realism to it. It shows that not every love story is how movies present them to be and how sometimes, it’s a little more complicated yet it is actually simple when you put it in a certain way. It’s all about perspective.

Thor was amazing. I enjoyed watching it so much. But then again, I’d enjoy any movie with Chris Hemsworth in it :P Need I point it out to you that he is so sexy and yummy! I have never been an avid fan of reading comics, I do however enjoy superheroes movie. I’m excited about Captain America this year and The Avengers next year! Both are going to be awesome.

Remember I mentioned Along Came A Spider in my previous movie review post? I was very glad  the TV decided to air this one! This movie was just outstanding. The plot is really solid and impressive – the kind of movie that will blow your socks off because you think you have it all figured and then BAM!, something totally different happens! Highly recommended if you are a fan of psychological thrillers or just thrillers.

I’m back with movie reviews! Have not done any for a long time. I used to do so for every movie I watch but I’ve decided now that I would only do so for movies I really enjoyed or movies I think are good.

Black Swan is one of the movies I really enjoyed. I remember how excited I was for it, all due to the excessive publicity and high expectations placed on it. It’s tragic; yet beautiful. Maybe it’s the ballet, maybe it’s Natalie Portman. Despite the controversial topic on her double role, it’s a really good movie.

Borderline is a psychological-thriller movie. I enjoy such movies, and I think this one here had a good plot. I don’t know how to comment on it without giving the story away. I watched this on TV, I’m glad the televisions actually show good movies these days!

Kiss The Girls – another psychological-thriller! I found out after watching that it is based on a novel. I am planning to watch Along Came A Spider, also starring Morgan Freeman, also based on the same novel series. I think Morgan Freeman is a really good actor. The story is solid and it really kept you guessing until the very end. Nobody enjoys a movie when you can predict what’s gonna happen halfway through the movie right? ;)

The Fighter is an amazing movie. Thumbs up! I love Mark Wahlberg. Christian Bale looks alarmingly unhealthy here though. I have not read about the true story behind the movie yet so I don’t know how accurate it is. However, an absolute highly recommended movie.

Pulp Fiction is my ultimate favourite! I love how the entire show was narrated and portrayed. John Travolta as usual, did a great performance. If you don’t already know, he’s probably my favourite actor ever! I always enjoy his work :)

#Movie review

Great performance by Shahrukh Khan, they definitely found the right guy to play Rizwan Khan. I seldom cry during movies but this one here, this movie did it. Very true indeed – an ordinary man can have an extraordinary journey. What we do in life is not already written down, we write and determine our own fate.

Solid script, amazing effects on the audience. For those who do not know, it is not about terrorism or the 9/11 attack but merely focuses on love, willpower, as well as the relationship between two parties. Here we can see it between the two lovers, as well as Rizwan and the United States.

You know they always say in a love relationship one will always be the better looking half, which perceptibly makes sense. Although the movie emphasises on the girl being the better looking one, I beg to differ. I think she’s not a 10 after all. He, on the other hand, is pretty charming and deserves better than a hard 5 or 6.

And the part where he ejaculated in his pants!! LOL that was hilarious. This movie is average, witty at certain points but the moment you look at the movie poster you immediately know what the ending is gonna be. Nonetheless insightful.

Sex And The City!!! Waited months for it to start screening here. Their shoes are gorgeous, their clothes are to die for! And that walk-in closet! And the fact that this movie is so good, so funny. This is how women today should be, successful and respected at the same time family-oriented.

If I ever get married or have kids, I certainly will not allow my life to undergo a total drastic change. I think it is important to be able to have both personal time as well as family time equally divided. Doing so does not cut you off the “Super-mum” or the “Super-wife” title race. The belief that a woman’s main focus should only be on her family and children is so yesterday.

Penny (Cuoco) in The Big Bang Theory!! I think she’s a natural if you ever need someone to crack you up. The plot is alright, although you can almost tell how it’s going to end. I enjoyed it although I thought it was a little slow in progress. However I do not see it as a well-directed movie.

I loved this movie! So fresh, witty and original. Spencer (Kutcher) is SO charming! And his body, oh boy. The best part would be the ending, how highly-guarded their baby is lol! When I heard about this movie, I couldn’t wait to watch it. The action included may not be impressive but you can still find humour.

Good combo: Heigl-Kutcher.

Echoes of the Rainbow – is it true that rainbows do have a reflection of itself once in a while? Apparently it’s a rare occasion but it happens, according to this movie that is.

A very touching and emotional film, movies like this remind you to always be thankful for what you have and when you start to complain how life is unfair or things are never enough for you – there is always someone out there who’d gladly be you. Good acting skills and well-planned plot.

My favourite so far this year! If you have not watched this yet, hang around for the credits to finish rolling then enjoy the short clip! I watched this with three others and we were the only ones left in the cinema. The credits took like five minutes, we had a reliable source telling us to wait for it and I’m glad we did :)

This is one of the movies that you will enjoy every minute of it, I know I did. Unquestionably surpasses expectations! There is an original A-Team movie produced years ago, looking forward to catch it one day.

One thing I like about Pixar movies is the short films included. The one in this movie is nice but I prefer the one in Up better. Animations can never go out of trend and this one here has adventure & comedy wrapped with a pretty ribbon!

Very enjoyable, a marvellous sequel. My favourite part of the movie is when Buzz Lightyear turns Spanish, the entire audience roared in laughter! Who says only kids watch movies like this? ;)

Rotten Tomatoes gave a 98% rate for Toy Story 3, this is one movie review I agree with.

#Scheduled post

I loved Shrek! The babies are so adorable! I love Puss, I love Donkey, I love everything about Shrek lol. I didn’t manage to watch Shrek 1 & 3 though, only watched the second one which they were showing at the gym.

You always gotta lose something to realise how valuable it is. A must-watch!! I like animated movies :)

Jennifer Aniston & Gerard Butler look stunning together but the movie could have been better. Didn’t do very well in capturing the attention of the audience (me), and it was pretty monotonous. There were no spark or anything that stands out.

However I think she’s as beautiful as ever, she ages with grace. And he on the other hand, well, he’s kinda charming.

Confucius is indeed a wise man. One of the most remarkable philosopher, writer, and educator ever known to China. If half of the world population could think the way he does, the world would be a so much better place.

He’s a leader who isn’t selfish, who puts the people and his country ahead of his own needs. Now tell me how many leaders who would do the same can you name? However I’m not sure if he was ever exiled in true life.

Many people say it’s nice but I thought it was alright. It wasn’t all that romantic. It wasn’t all that unsurprising. And Channing Tatum is not all that hot. Lol. One thing I gotta agree though, their love story is not one of those regular ones you hear about.

It has a slight twist, making it a little interesting. I like how she got along well with his dad so soon. And how they fought and the both of them couldn’t wait to make it up to each other. Little things like that make you wanna go “aww“.

Jennifer Lopez is SO gorgeous! Alex O’Loughlin is such an eye candy! And she has twins in the movie just like how she does in real life! Well it’s not so much of a great movie, but this is the type of movie I’d watch on a day I feel like just laying back and relax with a light movie.

You can say it’s obvious, the storyline wasn’t much of a secret. But when it comes to movies like this one, we all want to see a happy ending don’t we?

This one here was absolutely horrifying. What I had in mind was that Krueger was wrongly accused which made him return to haunt them in their dreams but turns out, he is a pervert. And omg I knew he wouldn’t die! The way Nancy’s mum died was terrible, she had no eyes left!

And how he slowly killed the kids one by one, taunting them and all, it was bad. But I managed to watch the entire show without missing any part at all. This movie was good, I think the plot was subtle. I didn’t watch any of the older versions so I don’t know what to expect to be honest.

Not what I expected, I thought the lady would survive with some happy ending you see. But good when there’s a variation, movies with happy endings become predictable. However I didn’t find much wow factor in it, probably one of the average movies.

Makes you wonder, if there were no one back in those days who could give such devotion and dedication towards discovering how the universe works, how would the standards of science be now? And it’s such a shame that some people use religion as an excuse to create chaos and start a war.

Leap Year was nice but I knew from the beginning she’s gonna end up marrying the fella she meets at the bar. Foreseeable, cliche. Nonetheless I liked it anyway, the guy is so sexy! With the scruffy look and the accent, definitely irresistible.

But would you ever consider making the first move, especially something as big as marriage? I find it interesting, the Irish tradition of women proposing to their boyfriends/fiancees on the 29th of February every leap year, but I don’t think I ever would hahah.

Watched this on TV the other night, John Travolta is SO. COOL. I hope he never leaves the movie industry. This one here is light and funny, you’d definitely enjoy it. I have a thing for charming men who get their ways just by using the right words. Irresistible.

Christina Milian is very pretty I must say, sings well too. Pity that her singing career did not exactly bloom. Dwayne Johnson is so funny here! His character certainly spices up the story.

More of a teenager movie but heck, I’m still not an adult yet lol! But a typical one lah, tells you to go for your dreams because with confidence and faith you can make it. It is pretty conventional and you don’t really get a kick out of watching it.

But this sport does seem kinda cool.

Wannabe superheroes who turn out to be quite super-heroic. Not very pleased with the censored profanities but can be forgiven because this movie’s quality overshadows that! Absolutely awesome! Quite brutal at certain scenes, kids please don’t try any of those moves at home (or anywhere for that matter)!

Love love loved this one.

Sequels are usually not as good but Ip Man definitely does it! It has everything a movie needs complete with the wow factor and the exciting vibe. This is one of the movies where I didn’t even want to blink the entire time I was watching it. Especially when it’s Donnie Yen, I have such a big fat crush on him if you don’t already know.

Makes me feel so proud of my roots, you must not miss this! Action-packed, great amazing moves, Sammo Hung’s appearance completes the scenes, fresh, and homg it’s Donnie Yen!

I had goosebumps watching this movie, truly touching and inspirational. The type of leaders we should respect and look up to is portrayed clearly here. Nelson Mandela: a wise, intelligent man we should all learn from.

If you do not believe sports can bring people from anywhere together, this is the movie that will prove you wrong. Clint Eastwood has always been one of the good directors. Morgan Freeman: a job well done.

It has action, it has humour. Good job on the comedy aspect, I remember laughing out really loud at one point of the movie. Not so much of a great movie but nonetheless enjoyable. Steve Carell does not shine so much here, still trying to figure out why. And Triplehorn; what a name!

Another awesome sequel! Those who say it sucks, you need to watch it again. If you still think so then maybe you have no taste in movies. Okay lah just kidding. But really, two thumbs up for Iron Man 2!

The first one was no doubt better, aren’t all the first ones? But the presentation of the sequel is still superbly concrete and is absolutely action-filled. How can you, or anyone not find Robert Downey Jr utterly charming?!

Movie review.

From Paris With Love was long awaited with some good self-predictions. John Travolta never fails to deliver :) Loved the movie, action-packed and a little humour too. Taken was a really good movie as well so thumbs up for Pierre Morel! I liked how Wax (Travolta) although prefers getting a job done the way he wants it, he is intelligent and efficient.

Clash of the Titans. Did not manage to catch it the minute it started showing in the cinemas therefore had many sides of opinions to hear from without having one of my own. Two extremes would be that it sucked and that it was awesome. I personally thought it was great despite not having enough excitement. Could have been better but I was satisfied. Funniest part would be the Kraken appearing for ten minutes to be killed just like that (quotes: Roshan). Other than that, I enjoyed it. I have a thing for ancient history and myths :)

I thought Up in the Air was a little dull. Could have been more colourful in so many ways but unfortunately it failed to impress. I thought it would be funny but turned out it wasn’t that funny. While I was watching it, I only thought of when is it gonna be over. Anti-climax.

Tooth Fairy was light and entertaining in spite of poor reviews. I guess you can’t have much expectation when it comes to movies of this type. Plus-side: the angels were pretty cool. I liked Julie Andrews here.

A little too monotonous and tedious, didn’t really enjoy Motherhood. Uma Thurman just doesn’t cut it here. Portrays the struggles of a mother between caring for the children, taking care of the house, and feeding her own interests. Sometimes I really don’t know how a mother can do it all. Show your Mums some love :)

The Hurt Locker won numerous awards and I think it deserves every single one. I have never really enjoyed movies like this because it’s relatively a little slower compared to others and I’m not gonna lie, I did have my interest drifting away. But it is heart-wrenching to see how some people can do so much for the love of their countries. Not to mention how they keep count as each day passes by, just waiting for the moment they can finally go home.

Have not been watching many movies lately, can’t seem to find the time to do so which is why nowadays I grab the DVDs and take my time with them :) Hence not so up-to-date heh.
